FAQs

  • Every piece is handmade by me, Reese, the owner of Nyiwarri Yarn - I’m a single woman show! To make each piece I may use knitting needles or a manual flat-bed knitting machine, or a mixture of both. I also seam by hand or with a sewing machine. I take my time crafting each piece so that it is made to last!

  • If your item does not fit please contact me immediately so I can try alter the piece. As each item takes time to make (e.g., cardigans may take up to 6 weeks to make), I ask that you please post ill-fitting pieces back so that I can rectify this..

  • At this stage Nyiwarri Yarn items are made from a mixture of Wool and Acrylic yarn - I am currently working towards using 100% sustainable materials. Yarn type will be noted in each listing.

  • Depending on the item it may take me up to 6-weeks to hand make a piece before shipping it to you - a note will be added in the listing if this is the case. Otherwise, if an item is already made, I will process your order within 2–3 business days. Once with Australia Post delivery times will vary.

Shipping and Returns Policy

  • All items will be shipped via Australia post. Please note that some items are made to order so there may be up to a 1-week delay in shipping. A note is made on each listing stating whether the item is ready to ship or will be delayed.

    At this stage Nyiwarri Yarn does not offer international shipping and only posts within Australia.

    Shipping costs (flat rates)

    Standard shipping = $10.40

    Express shipping = $20

    All orders over $200 will receive free standard shipping! Automatically applied at checkout.

  • Currently returns will only be accepted for faulty items (in accordance with Australian Consumer Law). If your item is ill-fitting you may be able to exchange this for the correct size if it is in stock or able to be altered. Unfortunately returns will not be offered for change of mind. If there is an issue with your order please contact Nyiwarri.Yarn@gmail.com or message us via instagram so that we can try to rectify the situation.

  • If your order is posted to the wrong address due to a typo whilst placing your order, the cost to re-ship is covered by the customer. If you have accidentally added an incorrect address at checkout please get in contact ASAP (email: Nyiwarri.Yarn@gmail.com) so that we may attempt to rectify it before the item is posted. If Auspost is unable to deliver your package and it is returned to sender/not collected from the post office, all fees to re-post will be covered by the customer. You will be contacted and sent an invoice for the required shipping costs.
